Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman

"Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman is a extraordinary read, perfect for lovers of dark fantasy and medieval history. Buehlman allows us into the minds of the three main characters, a knight, a priest, and a child blessed by god. Buehlman allows us to understand their struggles and flaws, and how they are able to achieve redemption, even through tragic means. Between Two Fires is incredibly character driven, and is heart wrenching and devestating. It has been my favorite read this year, and will likely live with me for years to come."

Cold Eternity by S.A. Barnes

"If you’re craving a sci-fi story that keeps you turning pages well past bedtime, Cold Eternity is your next must-read. This space horror plunges readers into the eerie corridors of a massive cryogenic ship where desperate secrets, glitchy AI apparitions, and creeping, unsettling threats test not only the protagonist’s wit but her will to survive. What makes this book stand out is its perfect blend of cerebral world-building and truly chilling atmosphere - think survival thriller meets psychological depth, with a heroine you’ll root for through every twist. It’s the kind of thrilling, conversation-starting read that’ll stick with you long after the last page."

I, Medusa by Ayana Gray

"If you like mythology with a fresh perspective, I, Medusa by Ayana Gray is definitely worth checking out. Instead of the monster we usually hear about, this story lets Medusa tell her own side of things. It’s a quick but powerful read that explores her anger, pain, and the injustice that turned her into a villain in other people’s stories. It’s emotional, thought-provoking, and a great pick if you enjoy mythology retellings that give familiar characters a completely new voice."

Muscles & Monsters by Ashley Bennett

"A fun, spicy, paranormal romance set in a present day world where monsters are the norm. I read this in one day! Plenty of humor, featuring a surprisingly vulnerable wolven body builder falling unexpectedly for a human baker. Snappy dialogue, vivid descriptions and plenty of spice make this a quick and satisfying read. Looking forward to diving into the sequels, this book left me wanting to revisit the world Ashley Bennett has crafted."

Mushishi by Yuki Urushibara

"Mushishi is one of my favorite series of all time. It has the most distinct, ethereal atmosphere of anything I’ve ever read. Each story is unique and memorable as you follow Ginko, solving mysterious cases related to the supernatural lifeforms known as Mushi. This series is filled with rich nature, supernatural elements, and life lessons."

Releasing 10 by Chloe Walsh

"Jump back into the Boys of Tommen universe with Chloe Walsh's most recent book! This book, along with all her work, is deeply emotional, raw, and will have you clutching your nearest box of tissues. Focusing on Lizzie Young, who struggles with bipolar disorder and past trauma, her story shares the soul-deep connection she has with classmate Hugh Biggs, and how their relationship is tested through dark, traumatic, and sensitive circumstances."

The Correspondent by Virgina Evans

"If you’re in the mood for something a little quieter but deeply rewarding, The Correspondent is one of those books that sneaks up on you in the best way. Told through a series of letters, it follows Sybil, a woman reflecting on her life, her relationships, and the things left unsaid. It’s thoughtful, a little bittersweet, and full of heart—perfect if you enjoy character-driven stories that linger with you after the last page. This is a great pick for anyone who loves introspective reads about connection, second chances, and the power of putting words to paper."

The Doorman by Chris Pavone

"Dear Reader, Yes, the fantasy and romantasy genres are filled with thrilling magic, but a book like The Doorman has a unique magic of its own.  I’ve never lived in New York City, and I’ve certainly never been ultra rich, but while I was reading this book, the author, Chris Pavone, made me fee like I was experiencing both those things!  Add in a great main character and a thrilling plot, and, just like that, the magic of reading a really good book is yours to enjoy!"

The White Hot by Quiara Alegría Hudes

"A literary masterpiece! The kind of book where I could pick out every detail and write an entire essay on it and it still would never touch the surface of how much this book has to offer. I am obsessed with Hudes' lyrical writing style. Highly recommend for anyone interested in literary themes surrounding what it means to be a mother."

To Cage A Wild Bird by Brooke Fast

"To Cage a Wild Bird' was a fantastic debut novel! The story was very Hunger Games-esque, with an oppressive justice system sending anyone who breaks the law to an inescapable prison where inmates are hunted by the upper class, and a girl who would do anything to break her brother out of it- including getting imprisoned there herself. The world that Brooke Fast created was so intriguing, and I am very impatiently awaiting the rest of the series so that I will get to discover more about the city of Dividium."
