People broke the news that the iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses has paired with James Patterson to write a children’s book! Sweet Child O’ Mine, named after their hit song, gives new meaning to the beloved lyrics in this vivid, heartfelt picture book. Follow a child’s wondrous discovery that music is everywhere around us–from the gentle wind blowing through the bluest skies, to the fearful crash of the thunder and the rain.
The story was inspired by band manager Fernando Lebeis’ daughter and niece, Natalia and Maya, who have grown up touring with the band. Can you imagine what that childhood was like? The book comes to life with the help of illustrator Jennifer Zivoin’s evocative, sweeping paintings. Sweet Child O’ Mine celebrates love and music, and how they bring us together in the sweetest ways.
