This has been a busy week for John Grisham! His latest novel, Camino Winds, released on Tuesday. Last night, he held a live conversation on YouTube with Stephen King. And then this morning on CBS, he made the exciting announcement that he’ll release A Time for Mercy, a new book in his A Time To Kill series, this October! Written in 1988, (before becoming the world-famous author he is today), A Time to Kill was Grisham’s first novel and his bestselling to date. It’s a riveting story of retribution and justice, where criminal lawyer Jake Brigance faces the fight of his life defending a man guilty of shooting the men on trial for the rape of his 10-year old daughter. In 2013, Grisham published Sycamore Row, where Brigance once again finds himself embroiled in a fiercely controversial trial that exposes a tortured history of racial tension. While we’ll have to wait and see where A Time for Mercy will take us, Jake Brigance has yet to let us down so far!
